This photograph was taken during my travels to Toppenish, in the Yakima Valley. These ladies are members of the Yakama Indian Nation, they are dressed in their Native American traditional clothing.
I grew up in my early years in the Seattle area. Our family then moved to the Yakima Valley, where my parents bought a cherry orchard and grape vineyard. I spent many years in the Yakima Valley, where life was always full of adventures and experiences I would never have had if I had continued to grow up in the city. In my early twenties I moved back to the Seattle area, where I still reside. I graduated college in 1999 with my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, in Art. After graduating, I taught art at a local college for several years. I am married to a wonderful husband who supports me above and beyond in all that I do. I have one daughter, Autumn, a son-in-law Kevin, and one Grandson, Christian. My husband and I love to travel, where I enjoy photographing anything and everything! I recently completed Chaplaincy training and am looking forward to receiving my ordination in the next few weeks. My plan is to work with our local Police and Fire Department. I love floral design, I have been a floral designer for 20 years!
Cute photo. Nice to hear from you again.
